Casual Staff-Kitchen Person

Position Summary: Prepare food items, outgoing orders and serve food to customers.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists cooks and catering (meat/dairy/vegetable) with food preparation;
  • Buses tables;
  • Washes pots and/or dishes and other items as needed;
  • Empties garbage in dining room, kitchen and dishwashing area;
  • Maintains a high standard of sanitation in all kitchen, serving and dining areas;
  • Puts away deliveries as needed;
  • Cleans, sweeps and mops dining/serving areas and floors;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Experience & Education Background:

  • High School Diploma plus 2 years of related experience is required.
  • NYC Food Handler Certification preferred. Knowledge of Kosher dietary laws is preferred.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Good organization skills. Must be able to handle food according to established sanitary guidelines;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Speaks to clients and colleagues in a respectful and thoughtful manner;
  • Provides excellent customer service.


Salary Range: $22 - $22 per hour
