What this job involves - The Maintenance Mechanic is responsibilities for the electrical and mechanical systems at the assigned buildings completing work orders, preventative maintenance and service requests. What is the day to day? Performs work orders, preventative maintenance and service requests, ensuring that work is executed professionally, efficiently and with minimum amount of disruption to the client Completes general maintenance tasks that include but are not limited to: HVAC, painting, plumbing repairs, change light bulbs / ballasts, hang pictures, changing batteries on MHE, repairing warehouse/dock doors, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems as assigned Responds effectively to emergencies and support after-hours building related activity as requested Troubleshoots system and equipment failures Complies with policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials Maintains records for work completed in a neat and organized manner Maintains machinery, equipment and tools in working order Desired experience and technical skills - Required Minimum of 1-2 years facilities maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) Electrical and mechanical aptitude Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate well verbally, email and written reports in English High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in a range of information technology tools and platforms Preferred Knowledge of office furniture systems Experience using CMMS HVAC, plumbing or electrical certification Work Environment Warehouse/Distribution Center with office space Must have flexibility to work OT and be on-call #MMjob |
