Position: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Houston, TX

Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of routine standard servicing and repair operations to maintain hospital buildings, equipment, furnishing, fixtures, and grounds in proper condition. This position requires a minimum of three or more years of experience in general building maintenance functions and the ability to read, write, and follow oral and/or written instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform servicing and repair operations:
Carry out urgent, corrective, routine, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as required.
Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and physical structures as required and maintain related records.

HVAC maintenance and repair:
Maintain and repair HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.

Safety and compliance:
Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
Demonstrate a commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process by integrating our culture in all internal and external customer interactions.
Adhere to time management, supply management, and productivity of service.

Professional growth and development:
Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
Support department-based goals that contribute to the success of the organization.
Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) or more years of experience in general building maintenance functions.
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and/or written instructions.
