Severe Service Specialists (Triple S) is a manufacturer's representative and factory authorized automation facility for valves that are engineered to withstand severe applications. Our ADREM line of specialty valves are engineered for the demanding requirements of the chlor-alkali industry. We pride ourselves on knowing our customers' processes and being able to provide flow control solutions. Triple S is also an authorized automation facility for Mogas, Adams, L&T, and other valve lines we represent.

Severe Service Specialists is a subsidiary of FloWorks International LLC, which is a privately held company located in Pasadena, Texas.

As a Field Service Technician you will operate in the field and in the shop, on-call or provide technical support to assigned customers. Installs, configures, performs problem determination and maintains products and equipment at customer sites, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's instructions, utilizing product and technical knowledge of equipment. Repairs or coordinates repair of worn or defective products or equipment. Perform skilled, technical work in the design, installation, testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair for assigned product or process. When not busy with above will work in warehouse pulling orders, automating valves assemblies, shipping, receiving and other warehouse duties as needed.

The exciting things you will do in this role....

  • Service and repair of Limitorque electric actuators

  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.

  • Install, set-up, and commission MOV's, AOV's, HOV's.

  • High level of electrical knowledge and theory.

  • Builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies equipment, parts, components and assemblies.

  • Diagnoses and reports malfunctions.

  • Learns and understands particular technical equipment; attends training and completes certification as required.

A must:

  • 2+ years experience in Limitorque service and repair preferred.

  • 5+ years experience in general valve and automation preferred.

  • HS Diploma or GED required. Specialized skills training/certification may be required.

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as heat, dust, fumes, and/or odors.

  • Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds).

  • Occasional overnight travel could be required.
