The Department of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is seeking outstanding applicants to fill a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position in the Division of General Internal Medicine.Under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, the nurse practitioner/physician assistant performs physicalexaminationsand treats common episodicand chronic health care problems,counselspatientsand families, monitors patient progress, and assists with clinical research projects. The nurse practitioner/physician assistant works in collaboration with otherhealthcare team members, consulting and referring as appropriate, but retains responsibility for ongoing clinical management of Primary Care patients. Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills and interest in serving a diverse patient population in both private and public clinical practice. We offer a highly competitive salary package with excellent benefits. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position will be hired as a clinical instructor. THIS IS A PRACTITIONER POSITION - You will not be teaching NP or PA students. Specific Duties include: Minimum Field of Expertise: Possession of current certificate of completion from an accredited training program. Current and valid California State Practitioner licenses, and Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications. 2 years' clinical experience is preferred. The annual base salary range for this position is $161,562 TO $226,192.
