Summary Job Description: Eligible for Retention Bonus *Sign-on bonus is reserved for new hires meeting eligibility criteria.* BHMG - Urgent Care Mulberry Full Time MA The MA will be responsible for the coordination of direct patient care activities and providing clinical support to providers within one of our clinical practices. Duties include: Check in patients, obtaining vital signs & medication reconciliation Patient medical history information Navigating electronic health record system (EPIC) Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients and physicians and will uphold Baptist's mission and core values that drive service excellence. High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information, plus. Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days, plus one of the following: Prior working experience in a medical office/clinic performing clinical MA duties. Or a Certified MA from the National Health Career Association (NHA). Or completed any MA education program, but has not received certification as of yet. Preferred Requirements for Certified Medical Assistant: Current MA Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, AAMP. Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information.
