Job Description

A Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrations between various financial systems and optimizing an organization's financial systems. This role is a professional who designs, develops, tests, and maintains interfaces between different systems, such as payroll, travel & expense, accounts payable automation, general ledger, budgeting forecasting, and file exchange. This role is responsible for ensuring that the FINSYS are functioning properly, meeting the needs of the Finance departments and other stakeholders, and providing accurate and timely data and reports. This role oversees and manages the finance information systems (FINSYS) e.g. databases, software, and computer systems that support the company. This role ensure that systems communicate and exchange data effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. System Integration:
    • Design, develop, and maintain interfaces between financial systems (e.g., ERP, accounting, payroll).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Configure and test data mappings, transformations, and workflows.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into system specifications.
    • Design and implement system changes to improve efficiency and functionality.
  2. Data Management and Integration:
    • Create and maintain data mappings between different systems.
    • Develop and maintain data interfaces, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
    • Manage data flows between financial systems.
    • Monitor data quality and troubleshoot discrepancies.
    • Troubleshoot data integration issues.
  3. Financial Reporting and Analytics:
    • Generate financial reports and dashboards.
    • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across platforms.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  4. System Upgrades and Maintenance:
    • Coordinate system upgrades and patches.
    • Perform regression testing to validate interface functionality.
    • Address issues related to system updates.
  5. Documentation and Training:
    • Document interface specifications, configurations, and processes.
    • Conduct user acceptance testing for system changes.
    • Train end-users on using integrated systems effectively.
  6. Compliance and Security:
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
    • Implement security measures to protect sensitive financial data.
Qualifications

Required Experience and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) as a Programmer Analyst or similar role with a focus on interfaces and system integration.
  • Proven experience supporting interfaces supporting financial systems (SAP, Oracle)
  • Cloud Service Proficiency: knowledge of one or more cloud platforms, such as Azure, AWS, SAP Products.
  • Knowledge of SAP ABAP and/or BTP Orchestration platform.
  • Knowledge of data interchange standards and protocols (e.g., HL7, REST, SOAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of data security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Collaboration: Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Experience and Competencies

  • Knowledge of SQL and database management.
  • Cloud Service Proficiency: knowledge of one or more cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or others.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific infrastructure standards.
  • Exposure to global business structures preferred.
