Position Purpose







This position will initiate and cultivate strategic referral relationships with targeted medical providers to increase and align patient referrals to Renown Health to ensure continuity of care.







Nature and Scope







Key responsibilities include the development of a strategy to increase Renown Health's market share by educating and encouraging members of the Renown Medical Group, Western Clinical Alliance-Clinically Integrated Network (CIN), Renown Accountable Care Organization (ACO) members and other potential referral sources to increase and align referrals to Renown Health and its strategic partners. This role includes working closely with senior leadership to maximize opportunities for market growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supports the development and implementation of physician alignment initiatives, including customer service, communications, quality, and performance improvement goals.

2. Participates in strategic planning, business development and referral management processes to increase physician satisfaction and referral business to all facilities and service lines.

3. Participates in the development and evaluation of "ready to grow" services and providers, introduction of new services/programs, reinforcement of priority services/programs, announcements of new providers to meet volume/referral objectives, building defined referral protocols, and contributes to marketing and PR plans to improve reputation, market share and growth objectives. Identifies and coordinates physician-to-physician relationship strategies that further enhance referrals. Provides market intelligence and consultation to leaders, providers and staff to enhance performance, alignment, consistency and continuity in achieving organizational strategies.

4. Collaborates with Chief Medical Officers, hospital CEO/COOs, service line providers and Directors for Patient Experience, Clinical Quality, the Regional Transfer & Operations Center, Marketing, Community Relations and Health Engagement Call Center, Hometown Health plan and others, to track, identify and document interests and concerns of physicians, and engages teams to document, resolve issues and remove obstacles for improved referrals and growth.

5. Manages Physician Relations & Referral Liaison/s through the development of referral targeting, tracking and reporting tools, development of standard work, educating on aligned referral processes, customer service and sales training, and provides oversight, direction, coaching and regular feedback resulting in a highly knowledgeable, motivated, data-driven and results-oriented referral team.

6. Co-creates communications processes, messages and materials for physicians/providers including active directory content for Find A Doctor web pages; EPIC/MyChart materials, apps, portals, emails, brochures and collateral materials.

7. Oversees planning, implementation, marketing and evaluation of special events, meetings, recognition/celebrations, sponsorships and educational conferences that further enhance service line and physician referral strategies and relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

Name



Description



Education:



Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare-related field, Business Administration, Marketing, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources or related field required, Master's Degree preferred.



Experience:



Ten years' experience in healthcare, preferably in managing physicians and health care teams, referral relationships, business development and/or health care sales. Experience in project management, performance improvement, organizational development, data analysis, financial management experience preferred.

Experience using EPIC and Physician Relationship Management Software tools preferred.



License(s):



Ability to obtain and maintain a valid State of Nevada driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.



Certification(s):



Transformational Health Care or Lean/Six Sigma Certification Preferred



Computer / Typing:



Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and Word and have the ability to use the computer for online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
