Requisition ID req26800 Working Title Optometrist Position Grade 16 Position Summary ***This is a Locum Tenens, part-time position. You need to have a New Mexico license, NM DEA and NM CSR*** Diagnoses, manages and treats conditions and diseases of the human eye and visual system. Examines eyes and visual system, diagnoses problems or impairments, prescribes corrective lenses, and provides treatment. May prescribe therapeutic drugs to treat specific eye conditions. Minimum Qualifications Doctorate in Optometry; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Certification/Licensure: Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) and licensed by the State of New Mexico. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
