Requisition ID req28484 Working Title Utility Plant Tech (Pre-Cert) Position Grade 08 Position Summary UNM's Utilities Services is currently seeking to hire and enthusiastic and coachable candidate to join our Utility Services Team as Utility Plant Tech Pre-Cert. UNM will provide on-site training and education to allow our new hire to obtain their NM CID Low Pressure Boiler License (BO1) and NM CID High Pressure Boiler License (BO2) within 12 months of date of hire. Candidate will also be evaluated in two categories within this 12 month time frame, experience, knowledge and understanding of plant equipment and associated auxiliary equipment within Utility Services Remote Plants, along with experience, knowledge and understanding of Utility Services Main Boiler Plant. Once these expectations and requirements have been met within the allowed time frame, candidate will be offered a step up to the next position as Utility Plant Tech 1, allowing he/she the opportunity to advance in their position and grow professionally. Utility Services is responsible for the care and upkeep of the physical campus environment. Additionally, the department maintains the University's district energy system providing electricity, steam, chilled water and domestic water through its own distribution systems.
