Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Tenure-Eligible Physician-Neuroscientist Faculty Position The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time tenure-track Investigator at the rank of Assistant Professor with interest in developing a research program in clinical and/or translational neuroscience. Successful candidates will utilize cutting-edge clinical or basic neuroscience approaches to study the pathophysiology and/or treatment of major psychiatric illness. Candidates working in the areas of TMS treatments, functional neuroimaging and EEG, clinical/interventional trials, or preclinical translational neuroscience are encouraged to apply. For clinical scientists, candidates will have access to broad patient base in the areas of mood disorders, psychosis including first episode, and trauma-related disorders, and state-of-the-art neuroscience facilities, cores, and laboratory space for preclinical neuroscientists. The selected faculty member will join a vibrant, multidisciplinary, and highly collaborative community of neuroscientists and clinicians at the Feinberg School of Medicine and Northwestern University. Qualified candidates will have an MD or MD/PhD, completed clinical training in general psychiatry or subspecialty and be Board Eligible or Certified in adult psychiatry, have productive postdoctoral training, and a strong track record of impactful research. Responsibilities of the position include creating an internationally recognized and extramurally funded research program and contributing to the educational mission of the institution. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the clinical and educational missions of the department. Competitive start-up packages and space are offered.
