Evanston, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Department: MCC Master of Science in Information Technology Northwestern University's McCormick School of Engineering invites applications for one or more part-time, non-benefits eligible, Adjunct Lecturer positions in the Master of Science in Information Technology program. Adjunct Lecturers are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in the designated discipline/field of study to students from a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Teaching may include a variety of formats: face to face, remote, and online. Adjunct Lecturers are employed based on student enrollment and staffing needs. The adjunct faculty contract contains no expectation or guarantee of continued employment. This posting will be used also to obtain a pool of qualified candidates. As teaching needs arise, applications will be reviewed for possible interviews. The number of adjunct faculty hired varies from academic term to term, depending upon the needs of the department. Applications will only be accepted via online submission must include: A statement of interest A curriculum vitae Responsibilities: Prepare and teach assigned courses at assigned class meetings, based on course catalog description and approved course outline; Prepare and objectively grade class assignments and exams within a timely manner, in accordance with course outcomes; Maintain accurate, transparent student records; Assist and foster student success through the maintenance of regularly scheduled office hours and timely responses to e-mail inquiries; Adhere to all administrative university policies such as the timely submission of completed midterm and final grades; Maintain appropriate professional development to stay current within assigned courses; Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics; and Other duties as assigned by contract and/or by the Course Coordinator including assessing course(s) taught for continuous improvement. Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or related field; and Substantial demonstrated industry experience integrating business and technology leadership and strategy Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or related field, and Substantial demonstrated industry experience integrating business and technology leadership and strategy Experience with a learning management system, preferably Canvas; Teaching experience at the college level.
