Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job The Department of Anesthesiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist at the ranks of Associate Professor, Assistant Professor or Instructor. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in clinical care and education. Responsibilities include providing cardiothoracic and general anesthesia care to patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH). Clinical activities will include caring for patients at varying levels of complexity and acuity in the realm of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures, including patients receiving heart and lung transplantations, mechanical circulatory support devices, structural heart procedures, and other state-of-the-art surgical or interventional procedures. The selected candidate will participate in the educational programs of the department and medical school, which may include teaching and education of students and house staff. In addition, the selected candidate will be expected to actively contribute to the research programs of the department. Qualifications: 1.Fellowship Training in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology including echocardiography. 2.Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Anesthesiology 3.Medical licensure in Illinois or eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.
