Job Summary

Nidec is seeking a dynamic, experienced HRBP to support our Commercial & Industrial Americas business unit. This role includes responsibilities across Sales, Marketing, and Engineering.

At C&I A, you will work with and support the team that builds US Motors-branded motors, and our employees are the foundation of our success. Our team builds electric motors that power water parks, providing thrilling and safe experiences for families. We also contribute to groundbreaking projects like the SpaceX program, where our motors play a crucial role in cooling systems. Additionally, our motors help ensure a clean and safe water supply by supporting water and wastewater treatment, along with many other applications.

This position is vital to fostering a positive work environment, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations, all in line with our business goals. Job Description

HR Manager - C&I A Business Unit Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary HR partner for the St. Louis C&I location, supporting leaders and employees across all HR matters.
  • Partner with site leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives and drive a high-performance, accountable culture.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding to ensure timely hiring of high-quality talent.
  • Coach leaders on employee relations, performance management, and corrective actions to ensure consistent, fair, and compliant practices.
  • Lead employee relations investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain HRIS data accuracy (Workday preferred) and support payroll coordination and related processes.
  • Support performance management processes, including evaluations, development planning, and talent discussions.
  • Lead training, compliance programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure adherence to HR documentation standards.
  • Support HR metrics, reporting, and cross-site HR alignment initiatives.
  • Drive improvements in retention, engagement, and time-to-fill metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, technical, or multi-site environment.
Knowledge, Tools or Trainings
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state (including Missouri), and local employment laws.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred), recruitment tools, and HR documentation standards.
  • Solid understanding of employee relations, investigations, and performance management practices.
  • Knowledge of compensation, benefits, and payroll processes.
  • Basic understanding of labor relations (if applicable).
