JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Communication Arts and Sciences of The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for part-time lecturer positions for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Part-time lecturers will teach undergraduate courses in Communication Arts and Sciences, principally in CAS 100 (Effective Speech). A Master's degree in a related field is required. Candidates with Ph.D. degrees in the discipline may also be assigned to teach upper level undergraduate and graduate courses. The start date for these positions is either August 2024 or January 2025.

These are one-semester, non-tenure track appointments with the possibility of reappointment. Part-time lecturers normally teach one to two courses per semester. For a more detailed description of the department, please visit our website at http://cas.la.psu.edu/.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
