Unit Support Coordinator (USC) (P)
Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct protective service operations under the direction of DS/RSO.
  2. All aspects of organizing, managing, supervising, and scheduling assigned personnel to ensure that the protective security requirements of the contract and TO are met. This includes, but is not limited to:


  1. Ensuring that all assigned personnel, are properly trained, equipped, briefed, and mentally and physically prepared each time they are dispatched on protective services assignments.
  2. Developing and implementing plans for the following:

    1. Route surveys
    2. Alternative routes
    3. Safe havens
    4. Contingency operations
    5. Facility perimeter security
    6. Foot patrol coordination
    7. Evacuation.

  3. Coordinating with and receiving concurrence of DS/RSO on team staffing issues.
  4. Evaluating assigned personnel to ensure that all positions/labor categories are filled with qualified personnel and to identify personnel for promotion into leadership positions/labor categories, with concurrence of DS/RSO.

Qualifications:

For bio approval, the USC shall meet the following qualifications:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years' experience in protective security assignments.


  1. A minimum of two (2) years of this experience must have been in a protective security supervisory or in-charge capacity as described below.
  2. The remaining five (5) years of experience can be gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed protective services that require skills similar to those identified in the PSS training course as outlined in WPS III IDIQ, Attachment 2, Training. This experience must be earned in locations with significant risk.
  3. Must possess a minimum of twelve (12) additional months of protective security experience on WPS III and/or any of its predecessor contracts or other DS-related security program.
  4. A minimum of three (3) months of this experience must have been as a shift leader on WPS III and/or any of its predecessor contracts or other DS-related security program.


  1. Must attend and successfully complete a supervisory course meeting the requirements established in WPS III IDIQ, Attachment 1, Position Descriptions, Section 1.2.C.
