Key Position Details:

The Allina Health Neuroscience, Spine, and Pain Institute is seeking a Neurologist specializing in Neuromuscular conditions to join our practice at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

  • Provide Neurological clinical oversight of the Neuromuscular center of Excellence

  • Treat and manage patients with Neuromuscular disorders

  • Primary practice location Abbott Northwestern Hospital, with potential for additional outreach locations as necessary

  • Opportunity to participate in research with a fully supportive and collaborative administrative and research teams

  • EMG team will eventually include 5 PM&R EMG physicians, 2 Neuromuscular-EMG Neurologists, 3 EMG techs, and 1 provider coordinator

  • Potential for after hours and weekend call coverage- phone based within a pool of providers to be determined

  • H-1B and J-1 visa candidates will be considered

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.

  • Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.

  • Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.

  • Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.

  • May participate in peer review and quality assurance.

Job Requirements

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required

  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required

  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)

  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)

  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
