Position Overview: Plans, directs, coordinates and controls activities of workers engaged in the fabrication of parts/units. Duties & Responsibilities:
Position Requirements: Must have fabrication background in equipment like or similar to equipment used in the Knapheide Fabrication department. Must have excellent ability to read all blue prints used by the Fabrication department. Basic computer and AS400 system skills required. Must have the ability to lead teams. Education in a technical field related to fabrication preferred. Must be able to read measuring devices and blue prints. Must have the ability to manage people in a positive manner and achieve operating results. Candidate must have flexible hours and possibly shifts. Must demonstrate effective involvement in a continuous improvement environment. Must be willing to further education through additional training courses as provided. The individual must be motivated and have the initiative to implement continuous improvement concepts. Must understand how fabrication equipment operates and be able to help with the implementation of new equipment. Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position: Must have the ability to move up and down the line and into work stations. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other reports. Must have good communication skills. Lifting up to 50 lbs is routine. Squatting, bending and stooping may be necessary. |
