Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas is accepting applications for an Adjunct Clinical Instructor. University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College provides access to high-quality education that promotes student learning and enables individuals to develop to their fullest potential.Position Summary: Under the immediate supervision of the Director of the Practical Nursing Program, the clinical instructor will assist with adapting educational experiences in an effort to assure sufficient and competent nursing care for patients in various clinical settings. Must have a minimum of two years in the clinical setting with at least one year of experience in an acute care setting. The clinical instructor shall be a primary clinical instructor. Responsible for supervision of students in the clinical area and designated nursing skills labs. General Responsibilities: *Managing the clinical area including simulation lab and skills labs *Coordinates lab competences as assigned and assists in lab skills check offs *Student orientations and clinical scheduling duties as assigned *Must be familiar with hospital organization and management and have sound knowledge of good nursing principles *Ability to interpret procedures and policies and to develop, devise, and adapt techniques and methods to meet the needs of the students, clinical affiliates, and patients. *Participate in faculty meetings *Active, unencumbered registered nursing license or practical nursing license for the state of Arkansas *Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills *Microsoft Office Proficiency *Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently toward course objectives *Ability to work effectively as a team member.
