Summary of Job Duties:The Vascular Sonographer position requires a high level of knowledge, ability and responsibility in patient care and the performance and preliminary interpretation of non-invasive vascular exams, including but are not limited to, lower and upper extremity venous duplex exams, lower and upper extremity arterial duplex exams and pressure measurements, carotid duplex exams, and visceral duplex exams. Will be required to perform after hour call and will include holidays. Critical thinking and good communication skills are necessary to interact with patients, families, and medical
professionals. This position requires an appropriate credential in vascular testing. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification

  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or appropriate training in vascular sonography. RVT preferred or registry eligible per ARDMS requirements. * or * Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts
  • Two (2) years of experience in ultrasound, specifically vascular sonography
  • Registered Vascular Technologist within six months of employment.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of desired experience to perform clinical assessment and all requested vascular sonographic examinations as ordered by physician
  • RVT preferred or registry eligible

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Registered Vascular Technologist with the ARDMS or equivalent
  • CPR, clinical experience in Vascular Sonography preferred
