What you can expect in this position:

  • Participates in the recovery of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and skin tissue for transplantation from postmortem donors using surgical instruments
  • Cultures, wraps and labels recovered tissues
  • Cleans operating room, supplies and equipment following recoveries
  • Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling
  • On average, a case can take four to five hours



You need:

  • Knowledge of basic anatomy
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of operating room (OR) experience as a Surgical Technician or Surgical Assistant preferred
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid Wisconsin Driver's License as this role requires travel
  • Flexibility and dedication for handling a demanding, irregular schedule under pressure to meet deadlines



Schedule:

  • Weekends - Friday 7pm-Sunday at 12pm
  • You will know your schedule a month in advance
  • Up to 2 weekends a month.
