Department of Surgery Job Description
Two Postdoctoral Fellow positions are available in the Cardiovascular Research Lab, Department of Surgery, University of Missouri-Columbia. The research program examines molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular and lung diseases. Current focus is on vascular remodeling, atherosclerosis, aortic aneurysm, and pulmonary hypertension. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in the biomedical sciences Candidates will be evaluated on: High motivation, the ability to work independently, experience/expertise in cardiovascular- or lung-related research, particularly in smooth muscle, endothelial cells, fibroblast, macrophage, or lung biology with strong molecular and cell biology training. Experience with animal models such as artery injury, atherosclerosis, aortic aneurysm, and pulmonary artery hypertension is also highly desirable. Application Materials
