Seneca Federal is recruiting for a highly experienced and certified Senior Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Technician to lead our VTC operations. The Senior VTC Technician, Project Lead will be responsible for designing, installing, and managing complex VTC solutions, ensuring high-quality, reliable communication across the organization.

This role requires an active secret clearance and a large amount of travel. Candidates must have a Certified Technology Specialist Installer (CTS-I) certification from AVIXA..

Key Responsibilities:

System Design and Implementation:



  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced VTC systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Utilize CTS-I expertise to oversee the installation, calibration, and configuration of VTC hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to execute large-scale VTC projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.


Advanced Troubleshooting and Support:



  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex VTC issues, including hardware, software, and network components.
  • Lead the resolution of critical VTC system failures, ensuring minimal disruption to organizational operations.
  • Mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on technical issues and professional development.


Operations Management:



  • Oversee the daily operations of VTC systems, ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and user satisfaction.
  • Manage regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades to VTC systems, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
  • Develop and implement best practices for VTC system use, including security protocols and data management.


Training and Documentation:



  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions for end-users and IT staff on VTC systems and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including system designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Prepare and present reports on VTC system performance, usage, and technical issues to senior management.


Project Leadership and Coordination:



  • Lead VTC-related projects, including new installations, system upgrades, and cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Coordinate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure VTC systems align with the organization's IT strategy.
  • Work with external vendors for procurement, installation, and support of VTC systems.


Qualifications:

Education:



  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant advanced certifications are a plus.


Experience:



  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in video teleconferencing, with at least three (3) years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of designing, installing, and supporting complex VTC systems.


Certification:

Certified Technology Specialist Installer (CTS-I) certification from AVIXA is mandatory.

Technical Skills:



  • Deep understanding of video and audio signal processing, codecs, network protocols, and VTC technologies.
  • Proficiency in IP networking, firewall management, QoS, and security as they relate to VTC systems.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading VTC system installations and upgrades.
  • Should be well verses in several of the following systems: Crestron, Extron, NetGear, Vaddio, LG, and others


Soft Skills:



  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and engage with senior management.
