Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a driven and motivated Financial Data Analyst to join our vibrant and growing data analytics community. In this position, you'll be responsible for executing a variety of projects aimed at enhancing our ability to collect, analyze, and visualize financial data and build data narratives to inform business and operational decisions. Your responsibilities will include financial data quality review, data organization and reporting, financial forecasting, development of financial data models and visualization.
Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President for University Budget and Financial Planning, you will work closely with leaders of the Finance Division and will have a dotted reporting line to the Assistant Vice Provost for Institutional Research and Analysis. In this reporting environment, you will have access to professional resources both inside the Finance Division and Institutional Research and Analysis. A member of the data analytics collaborative of the University, you will also have opportunities to work across functional areas to develop data analytics products to connect finance data with data assets from other areas to enhance our ability to understand university operations in a more connected and holistic fashion. You will work closely with the Data Analytics Collaborative to implement the University's Data and Analytics Strategies. This role is a preferred hybrid role with two days in the office a week required to ensure valuable face time with the team. Core responsibilities include:
