Position Overview:

To assist in performing preventative maintenance, major and minor repairs on all types of ground support equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

* Assist in performing the following duties:

* Complex repairs on vehicles, both electrical and mechanical;

* Electrical diagnostics and repair on vehicles and equipment;

* Scheduled preventative maintenance on company ground support equipment;

* Welding repairs with MIG welding, stick welding, or acetylene gas welding;

* Fuel, wash, and paint ground support equipment as needed;

* Operation of and test ground equipment for performance assessment;

* Ordering, receive, and inventory parts and supplies;

* Diagnostic procedures on vehicles and equipment.

* Determine repairs by using testing equipment and applicable manuals;

* Ensures all IDS and customer safety standards are met and maintained;

* Report any heavy maintenance requirements to management and communicate as needed with contract maintenance personnel;

* Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred;

* Must be at least 18 years old;

* Maintain and treat all information as confidential;

* Adherence to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook;

* Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives;

* Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English;

* Must be able to verbally direct in English;

* A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Work Environment:

* Physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment;

Physical Demands:

* Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, speak and hear efficiently;

* Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling;

* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
