Daikin Applied is now hiring for an Application Engineering Intern in Staunton, VA!

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Engineering Intern to join our dynamic Applications team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in the field of applications engineering applications within a leading organization. Location: Staunton, VA in office 5 days per week

Timeline: This Internship opportunity is for May-August 2025

What you will do:



  • Assist Customs Engineer with customized equipment proposals, costing, & drawings
  • Assist Applications Engineers with customer visits & equipment tests
  • Gain exposure to both office & 800,000 sq. ft. HVAC factory environments
  • Gain exposure to business operations, engineered equipment marketing environment, & production


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in STEM
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in a degree program in Engineering
  • Experience with HVAC concepts
  • Completion of classes in Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, & Electrical Engineering
  • Reside within a 300-mile radius of our Staunton, VA office
