Instrumentation and Calibration Technician

What this job involves: This position focuses on metrology and calibrations of laboratory, packaging and manufacturing equipment and systems. This individual is expected to spend a high percentage of time in the field. Candidates are expected to demonstrate technical expertise and attention to detail.

What your day-to-day will look like:
Perform calibrations for equipment and systems including but not limited to: RPM/Timers, Pressure/Vacuum, Liquid/Gas Flow, Differential Pressure Transmitters, Temperature, Scales/Balances/Load Tests, Oxygen/Gas Sensor and Oxygen Analyzers, Dew Point and Other Environmental Systems.
Work with engineers to determine appropriate limits/tolerances and set calibration frequencies for new and existing equipment.
Provide support for Installation and removal of equipment.
Ensure that Standards utilized for calibrations are accurately maintained.
Evaluate capabilities of equipment to ensure compliance.
Adhering to compliance, safety, and metrics
Ensure that all work orders are closed out appropriately and contain the required data, reports, and documentation.
Coordinate with customers / end users to schedule calibrations.
Ensure that all calibrations are performed on time according to schedules.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:15AM - 4PM

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
5 years' experience working with electrical or mechanical systems.
Two years of related trade schooling or equivalent.

Knowledge and experience working in a GMP environment is a plus.
Able to read equipment Prints.
Previous leadership experience.
CMMS Experience a plus.
Any Safety related certification is a plus.

Required Skills and Experience
Skilled in use of tools and machinery required by the position.
Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
Familiar with computer equipment and programs.
Capable of operating BAS (Building Automation System) and work order management system.
Follow standard operating procedures.
Able to program a variety of Micro Controllers and relay outputs.

Ohms Law
Microsoft Office
CPR Certification (Can be obtained after onboarding).
