As an Automation Technician, you will be accountable to ensure compliant, accurate, and timely completion of corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance on automation systems and equipment at our Fort Worth Oak Grove Facility in Fort Worth, TX.

In this role, a typical day will include:



  • Equipment / process control system troubleshooting and documentation of corrections and change control activities.
  • Assist with the revision of Standard Operating Procedures and Preventive Maintenance plans.
  • Locate and diagnoses failures through in-depth data analysis and control system logic review.
  • Perform troubleshooting using advanced electronic equipment, isometric and P&ID drawings, diagrams, historical data
  • trending (OSI PI), programmable logic controllers (Allen Bradley), functional specifications, operating and component
  • manuals, and verbal/written instructions.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and corrective work orders for automation equipment.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance documentation and correction logs.
  • Complete maintenance documentation at the time of maintenance completion.
  • Lead and execute equipment/process improvement projects, manage small dollar (< $50k) project budgets.
  • Assist completion of manufacturing nonconformance investigations and technical document writing.
  • Estimates labor and equipment costs, prepares purchasing requisitions, and manages electrical contractors regularly.
  • Assist with Manufacturing Nonconformance investigations and apply good engineering practices to reduce the risk of repeat.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 3 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Work hours: (1st shift) 7am-4pm M-F

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:



  • 4 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Journeyman / Master Electrician Credentials
  • Maintenance experience on Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems
  • Knapp OSR EVO Good to Person experience highly desirable
