As a Materials Control Truck Driver - Evening Shift located at Houston, Texas, US, you will be responsible for utilizing your Commercial Driver's License and performing safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors prior to each leg of your journey to ensure road readiness. In this role, a typical day will include: Following and maintaining loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips. Inspecting trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary. Adhering to traffic safety regulations at all times, reporting unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisor. Assisting in unloading cargo, maintaining product quality. Additional Warehouse Shipping & Receiving responsibilities may include receiving goods and verifying items against the shipment record. Gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method Recording received and shipped items. What You'll Bring to Alcon: High School Diploma or equivalent The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English Work hours: Evening Shift (8 hours): Monday - Friday, 1:00 PM - 8:30 PM Travel Requirements: 0 - 10% travel Relocation Assistance: No Sponsorship Available: No
