As an QA Complaint Analyst, supporting our R & D Product Complaint Tea Team, you will be trusted to analyze customer related complaints, evaluate product (component) returns, complete root cause analysis on returns, complete engineering investigations and write a technical report at Houston, Texas US.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Processes, investigates, and monitors trending and reporting of product defect complaints, serving as primary contact.
- Addresses and expedites product complaints under the company's complaint policy and procedures, and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Monitors complaint activity and provides suggestions to appropriate company authorities to modify existing manufacturing or packaging process based upon pattern and related analyses.
- Maintains unified product defect investigation operating procedures.
- Provides technical expertise to optimize complaint processing systems.
- Maintains and monitors systems to ensure that all product complaint investigations received are appropriately investigated and concluded per the company's complaint handling procedure.
- Performs analyses, inspection, and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, quantitative assays on samples, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property
- Performs a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples, and to aid in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance.
- Conducts non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged or tested product. Handles potentially biohazardous complaint samples
- Performs required inspections, checks, analysis and documentation of studies. Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports.
- Reviews production records for conformance to procedures
- Conducts non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged or tested product
- Lead and/or support other duties as assigned. Key Performance Indicators: Timely identification and appropriate response to events and non-conforming product, proper prioritization of workload to address risk and meet compliance and quality requirements.
- Recommendation of actions for continuous process improvements, increased product quality, and compliance risk reduction.
- Completion of all assigned tasks such as investigations, initiation of records, etc. in a timely manner.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Work hours: Exempt - Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm
