Job Description:

Alcon is looking to hire a QS Sr. Compliance Specialist to join our Process Engineering team at Johns Creek, GA. Ensures organization functions are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies. Responsible for organization and implementation of compliance audits. Performs or manages daily compliance risk identification, inspection and reporting. Develops and implements preventative measures and internal controls.


  • Independently coordinates site gap assessments with affected departments against new/revised Corporate procedures, regulatory actions, etc., reports identified discrepancies, and ensures follow-up on assigned site corrective actions for identified gaps.
  • This includes tracking and routine reporting of site status during management oversight meetings as

    requested.
  • Prepares final Quality Council and Management Review meeting presentations based on submitted metrics/topics from assigned departments including review of data presented to ensure procedural requirements are satisfied, facilitates monthly/quarterly meetings, and coordinates follow-up documents such as meeting minutes and summaries and follow-up actions are completed and forwarded as required.
  • Manages personnel on the preparation and reporting of routine compliance-related metrics such as regulatory and external audit results and commitment status, Alcon Quality Analytics (AQA) metrics, CORP implementation status, etc. as assigned.
  • Lead/support internal audits for the site.
  • This can include planning, execution and closeout.
  • Assist with Health Authority and other external audits/inspections performed for the site.
  • This can include coordination of hospitality items, participation in the strategy room and/or audit room, and follow-up activities related to audit responses.
  • Support/lead quality system and compliance projects and initiatives related to assigned areas of responsibility, as needed.
  • This includes but is not limited to Alcon Global Quality System requests, developing knowledge of the quality system and industry standard requirements, benchmarking on best practices, etc.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:




    • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S. +0 yrs)
    • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
