We are looking for a Human Resources Administrator to join our Ligonier, Indiana plant to contribute to our Clean Air business group. In this role you will assist the HR team in hourly staffing, employee relations, and other HR duties within the facility. Our recruiting team is ready to act immediately. You'll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. We pride ourselves on moving through the process quickly, and you can be sure of transparency and prompt communication. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with all employee relations activities.
- Will answer phones and greet people has they come in front door.
- Assist in coordinate staffing for all hourly positions. This includes coordinating staffing with temporary staffing agencies as well as the internal job posting system.
- Organize and assist the orientation process for all new employees - temporary and direct-hire.
- Will be involved with the interviews for hourly positions.
- Filing as necessary.
- May assist with internal investigations.
- Learn the HRIS system (SAP) for all employees including new hire and change in status information. This includes data entry on a regular basis.
- Will update employee communication systems, including tool box notes and sending out Birthday Cards.
- Assist in the coordination and administration of various training programs for employees and assure training records are in accordance with TS16949 procedures.
- Work with Tenneco Benefits Center and support employees with benefit issues and questions.
- Will make employee files, personal, performance, training, disciplinary.
- Coordinate various functions such as retirement parties, picnics, golf outings, and going away parties.
- Other miscellaneous projects or duties assigned.
- Employee must perform his/her job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks and applicable work instructions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and some office experience is a plus OR 5+ years of equivalent experience.
- Experience within or desire to work within a manufacturing environment.
