The Senior Software Engineering Manager is a senior-level leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple software development teams, driving departmental strategy, and ensuring the alignment of software projects with organizational goals. They play a pivotal role in setting departmental goals and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

What you will do:

  • Manage and lead multiple software engineering teams, setting clear objectives and priorities that align with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Define and execute departmental strategies, including resource allocation, budgeting, and technology adoption.
  • Collaborate with other department heads and executives to ensure that software initiatives align with the overall company strategy.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the software engineering department.
  • Mentor and coach software managers and leaders within the organization, providing guidance and growth opportunities.
  • Oversee complex software projects, monitor progress, and address challenges to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement within the department.
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding, setting and evaluating performance goals to identify, attract, and retain top talent.
  • Developing risk mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related business field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development using Java and Spring boot
  • Proven record of accomplishment of managing and leading software teams.
  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Base Salary Range

$120,600.00 - $174,825.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
