Moog is hiring a Senior Test Equipment Design Engineer within our Aircraft Group for an onsite position in East Aurora, NY. Moog Aircraft Group is the world-wide leader of advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft. Job Summary: Reporting to the Manager of Product Engineering, you will be responsible for the design, development, troubleshooting, maintenance, and general support of test equipment. Products involved include common Actuator Control Unit (ACU), Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and Electronics Box; hardware design and programming is also required. You will interface with Quality and Design engineering on manufacturing issues and facilitate the transition of products and test equipment to supply chain. You will oversee product entry into service (EIS) and ensure successful transition of designs to production. Responsibilities: Design and develop electronic test equipment Create successful transition plans for electronic designs moving into production and eventually into the supply chain. Participate in and assist with supplier training of test equipment and/or providing test equipment requirements to aid in their development at the supplier. Lead cross-site efforts of New Product Introduction (NPI) for engineering and test aspects. Lead technical problem-solving efforts for complex electronic assemblies to resolve systemic non-conformances. Must understand overall specifications/requirements and be able to troubleshoot to root cause. Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Test on Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA). Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with 10+ years related experience; Master's degree in the field of electrical engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience also accepted Proven capabilities in the technical aspects of test (software & hardware) Proven capabilities for troubleshooting Electronic Hardware Ability to lead others Proficiency with LabView MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel skills required; must have ability to create spreadsheets with complex analyses.
