Position Title: Roll Tender
Wage: $18.00 - $23.00/hour Shift: 1st, 2nd or 3rd Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm or 10:00pm - 6:00am Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Roll Tender at a company in Beaver Dam, WI. This is a potential to hire position. Apply now! Roll Tender Responsibilities: - Verify roll inventory number against job tickets - Record roll numbers and weight on the roll log sheet - Prep rolls for splicer and stage rolls in the appropriate location - Move rolls into position and hang rolls in the splicer - Check oil levels in units twice each shift and fill as needed - Check overflow pans each shift; empty and clean as needed - Hang plates on the press - Help web press during make ready or web break - Return paper to inventory at the end of each job - Complete paperwork at the end of each job and each shift - Work with Lead Operator and train as time allows - Participate in continuous improvement process - Help Press Assistants as required or directed - Ensure production meets department goals and metrics - Check conductivity/record once a shift Requirements for Roll Tender: - Previous manufacturing experience; press experience preferred - Full comprehension in reading work instructions - Effective communication skills - Ability to use basic math skills including the ability to read a ruler - Basic computer skills - Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve practical problems - Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive situations - Self-motivated, reliable, and quality/safety-oriented - Ability to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally - Fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity, and coordination QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
