Embark on an exciting journey as a valued member of our esteemed team at Johns Hopkins Bayview's Medical A Unit. We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated and clinically sound Assistant Patient Care Manager to join our Medical Unit which has a diverse range of chronic conditions, including diabetes, asthma, pneumonia, as well as chronic cardiac, pulmonary, and renal conditions. This is a bustling 31-bed unit, serving a large diverse customer area. The Assistant Patient Care Manager (PCM) oversees the delivery of nursing care on an assigned patient care unit on a 24-hour, 7 day a week basis; manages professional and non-professional staff which includes interviewing, hiring, mentoring new and lesser experienced employees, coaching/discipline, completing performance appraisals, ensuring that employees are properly educated/trained, tracks licenses/certifications, employee engagement, etc. Also responsible for monitoring patient safety (HERO), hourly rounding, assisting PCMs with professional presentations, program development, performance improvement initiatives and departmental based and organization wide projects. This position is ideal for someone interested in starting their management career under the mentorship of the unit Patient Care Manager. Who Should Apply:

Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
