Responsibilities:



  • Ensure compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and applicable security regulations.
  • Utilize NISS, DISS, NBIS, and SWFT to support security operations.
  • Conduct internal self-inspections and support DCSA/customer security assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain DD254 documentation for prime and subcontract programs.
  • Maintain satisfactory or higher ratings on security audits.
  • Oversee classified areas, systems, and materials, ensuring proper handling and accountability.
  • Manage personnel clearances, visitor control, and security administrative actions.
  • Deliver security training, indoctrinations, and debriefings; maintain required records.
  • Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate reporting with external agencies and internal leadership.
  • Support SCIF accreditation and SCI compliance as needed.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align security programs with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop emergency response plans and coordinate with local authorities.
  • Stay current on security threats and best practices to enhance program effectiveness.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a FSO role for a possessing facility
  • Knowledge of NISPOM, Department of Defense (DoD) security regulations, and other relevant security standards and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate personnel to adhere to security protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and implement effective security measures.
  • Proficiency in security systems and technology, including access control, surveillance, and communication systems.
  • Optional: Experience with SCI and SCIF-related security requirements and processes is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance, with a preference for candidates who already possess an active clearance.
