Managing Director, SLC Incentive Plans and Performance Analytics - SLC Management

What is in it for you:

This role is responsible for the end-to-end design, governance, administration, and analytics of the firm's annual incentive plans, equity-based compensation, and carried interest arrangements. The position blends strategic plan design with rigorous financial modeling, forecasting, and operational delivery, ensuring incentive programs are competitive, analytically sound, scalable, and aligned with long-term firm performance and investor outcomes.

In this key leadership role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's compensation philosophy and programs to drive employee engagement, performance, and retention.

You will partner closely with senior leadership, HR, cross functional teams (Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Treasury etc.) and external vendors to develop, implement and administer innovative, business-oriented solutions with measurable outcomes that optimize our financial investment. Deliver a modern, compelling, and integrated incentive plans that drive performance and reward long-term value creation.

What you will do:

Incentive, Equity, and Carried Interest Plan Design

  • Lead the design and evolution of annual incentive plans, equity programs, and carried interest structures, ensuring alignment with firm strategy, performance objectives, and long-term value creation.
  • Develop and assess incentive frameworks, performance metrics, payout mechanics, vesting structures, and deferral features consistent with market practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Legal and Tax to ensure compliant plan design across jurisdictions and participant populations.

Plan Administration & Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the full lifecycle delivery of incentive, equity, deferral, and carried interest plans-from grant and communication through vesting, payout, forfeiture, and settlement.
  • Ensure strong governance, documentation, and controls across all phases of plan execution.
  • Lead systems implementation for equity, deferred compensation, and carried interest plans, ensuring accurate configuration, scalability, and alignment with plan design and governance requirements.

Compensation Planning, Forecasting & Analytics

  • Lead compensation planning, forecasting, modeling, and reporting across incentive and long-term programs.
  • Design and build an automated analytics and forecasting infrastructure to support modeling, scenario analysis, accruals, and executive-level reporting.

Executive, Committee & Board Support

  • Develop high-impact analytics, modeling, and scenario analysis to support senior management, compensation committees, and Board-level discussions.
  • Translate complex compensation structures into clear, decision-oriented executive materials.
  • Support governance processes, approvals, and disclosures with analytically rigorous and defensible insights.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key partner to Finance, Legal, Tax, HR, and senior business leaders, aligning incentive strategy with financial, regulatory, and talent objectives.
  • Lead complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, with a strong focus on execution and outcomes.
  • Monitor market trends and evolving best practices within asset management and financial services to continuously strengthen program design and competitiveness.

What you will need to succeed:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in incentive compensation, equity plans, carried interest, and compensation analytics, preferably within asset management, private markets, or financial services.
  • Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting, accruals, and analytics related to compensation expense and payouts.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership and board-level governance on compensation matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic design with operational execution and system-driven delivery.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership skills with Finance, Legal, Tax, HR, and external vendors.
  • Advanced analytical and technical skills (Excel-based modeling, compensation systems, forecasting platforms, reporting tools)

For US applicants the full base salary range is $179,200.00 - $286,700.00 USD Annual.

For Canadian applicants the full base salary range is $148,700 - $208,200 CAD Annual.
