Overview

DecisionPoint is seeking an experienced Network Architect Senior to join our team! The successful candidate will work closely with federal staff, providing engineering, and technical services to support a comprehensive transition of client networks and applications from IPv4 to IPv6.

This position is fully remote.



Duties & Responsibilities

    Ensure the assessment of Government Network needs.
  • Design Data Network Systems.
  • Possess the skills needed for troubleshooting to resolve Network Issues.
  • Have detailed knowledge about networking components such as routers, modems, adaptors, switches, and servers. The individual must have evolving knowledge of all the latest developments related to these components.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of communication technologies like wireless, mobile applications and telecommunications systems.
  • Apply engineering techniques to develop high-quality system architecture and application specific software design.
  • Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the system design and software development life cycle.
  • Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code and debugging code.
  • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
  • Perform validation and verification testing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products and system function/integration.
  • Document development phases and monitor systems.
  • Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies.
  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plansand leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.


Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification required.
  • Experienced in subnetting and breaking down IPv6 Addressing, ability to articulate and educate others.
  • Have experience with IPv6 Implementation with compute (HCI or standalone Server Platforms) and Cloud environments.
  • Have experience with security fundamentals regarding IPv6 and its implementation.
