Overview

We are seeking a scientist to join our R&D based RNA Sequencing team. Our mission is to enable various transcriptomics techniques to aid pre-clinical evaluation of siRNA-based therapeutics and advancement of our clinical pipeline. Our passion is to make transcriptomics approachable and expand its utility in drug discovery by pushing boundaries of scale, methodology, automation, data interpretation.

A candidate should be able to work through across wet, dry NGS techniques and examine data biology. Such a background and an experience in NGS, molecular biology, biology and data analysis/coding/computer science are desired. But most of all a successful candidate should be a highly motivated, proactive, open-minded problem solver with an appetite for method and application development.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Support advanced transcriptomics techniques like, single cell, spatial, long read transcriptomics studies through design, sample and library generations, data analysis; continue to improve techniques and data analysis toolbox
  • Data mining and interpretation; identification or development of custom bioinformatic tools to address custom technical and biological questions; written and oral reports preparations
  • Act as the subject matter expert and continuously drive technologies and applications development to expand capabilities
  • Support general lab operation ex., troubleshooting technical problems, training and mentoring junior lab members
  • Adapts well to the changing platform needs, in workflow, projects and other tasks as required by the pipeline.

Qualifications

  • MS in a biological and/or computer science related disciplines with 5+ or PhD with 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with NGS wet and dry lab techniques
  • Self-starter, self-learner, intensely detail oriented and curious mindset
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to multitask and work cross functionally
