Position Summary:

Coordinates and provides administrative support for the College of Nursing. This position supports the Director of Paramedicine and the College of Nursing.

Education & Experience:

Minimum education level:

* High School education, bachelors preferred.

Minimum experience:

* Four years administrative/executive assistance experience preferred.

* Health care or higher education experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

* Ability to learn software programs quickly. Familiarity with Banner helpful.

* Advanced computer software skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

* Ability to resolve conflicts and conscientiously deal with internal and external constituents.

* Ability to function effectively as a team member, as well as an individual contributor.

* Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment.

* Administrative oversight of credit and non-credit offerings

* High level of Customer Service focus, both face-to-face and e-communications

* Demonstrated ability in maintaining confidentiality with proprietary and sensitive information.

* Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance in collaboration with PMC department chairperson and program directors.

* Impeccable attention to detail

* Ability to analyze data, excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including electronic communication; demonstrated proficiency in the use of mainstream electronic communication tools.

* Proficient in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

* Knowledge and familiarity with college admissions processes, financial aid, and student resources

* Familiarity with courses/classes and requirements of Paramedicine Programs

* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities; consistency and reliability in following up with students and documenting actions.

* Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.

* Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

* N/A

Essential Functions:

* Provide administrative support for CON and paramedicine programs such as semester course schedules, assist students with course registrations for certificate programs, and assist students with questions and registration assistance. Develop and maintain student databases. Assist with paramedicine events as needed.

* Provide programmatic data collection for PMC reports (CON, accreditation, and state board approvals). Assists in the on-going review, revision, and registrar communication related to catalog. Assist in the annual and ongoing review of PMC H/B.

* Prepare contracts and contract initiation forms to assist in the execution process for field and clinical Affiliation Agreements.

* Answer all incoming phone calls on main phone line, respond to inquires and/or refer to appropriate faculty/staff/department for response. Respond to all emails in departmental EMS@creighton.edu general Outlook inbox. Responsible for coordinating program faculty/staff meetings to include: sending out related documents (i.e., agendas, handouts, etc.), taking minutes/notes, distributing past meeting minutes, and tracking and reporting on action items and outcomes.
