IS4S is seeking highly skilled and motivated engineers and technicians to support Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), communications, electromagnetic, and high-power microwave system development, testing, and integration. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of advanced hardware systems, contributing to the success of mission-critical applications. Candidates are expected to have experience printed circuit board (PCB) design, analysis, and testing, along with their integration with other system components.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine layer stack up, component selection and placement, and routing of analog, digital, RF, and/or high-power signals.
  • Design and develop RF and high-speed electronics for sensing, communication, and other equipment.
  • Design and develop power electronics and high-voltage systems for military applications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, analysis, and simulation for new hardware designs, ensuring compliance with military standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Generate detailed hardware specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts for advanced hardware boards.
  • Perform prototype testing, troubleshooting, and validation of circuit boards.
  • Maintain component and design libraries
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field with at least one (1) year of professional experience or three (3) years professional experience without a Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools and software for schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation (e.g., Altium, Cadence, SPICE).
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical circuits
  • Familiarity with military standards and specifications related to hardware design.
  • Ability to balance priorities among multiple tasks and projects
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • U.S. citizenship per 8 U.S.C. 1324(a)(2)(C) and ability to obtain a security clearance.



Preferred Skills:

  • At least four (4) years of professional experience
  • Experience in designing power electronics and high-voltage systems.
  • Experience with wireless design and basic principles of RF and antenna theory.
  • Experience with testing and validation of hardware systems, including thermal and environmental testing.
  • Experience with layout of FPGA, DRAM, CPU, and other high-density components
  • Experience with layout of mixed analog and digital signals, including high speed data lines and RF lines, along with impedance-controlled traces
  • Component authenticity verification
  • Design and quality management certifications
