Position Title: CNC Programmer

Wage: $25-$28/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6am-2:30pm

CNC Programmer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Write and modify CNC programs using G-code and other relevant programming languages; set up CNC machines, including loading materials, setting tool offsets, and calibrating machines; verify and adjust machine settings and tooling as needed to ensure accurate production

- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to create precise machine programs; troubleshoot and resolve programming issues and machine malfunctions; collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes

- Conduct initial tests and inspections of produced parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards; make necessary adjustments to programs and machine settings based on inspection results; maintain detailed records of programming changes, machine setups, and inspection results

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity; report any machine malfunctions or safety hazards to the maintenance team or supervisor

- Suggest and implement improvements to enhance machining efficiency and product quality; stay updated with the latest advancements in CNC technology and programming techniques

CNC Programmer Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred

- Proven experience as a CNC Machine Programmer or similar role, typically 2-5 years

- Proficiency in CNC programming languages e.g. G-code, M-code, CAD/CAM software, and machine operation

- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on accuracy and precision

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide clear instructions

- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to CNC machining

- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and tools

- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and operating machinery

- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed work
