Pro-Active Engineering is looking for a Planner/Scheduler/Expediter to develop and oversee production schedule for manufacturing activities. This role is crucial for maintaining workflow and maximizing efficiency in our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability. Coordinate with various departments (production, procurement, and logistics) to ensure alignment and timely execution of schedules. Work with sales and purchasing to accommodate expedites in the schedule as needed. Balance existing labor and machine capacity to maximize efficiency and production throughput. Examine all aspects of the scheduling process, including historical data, to improve production processes wherever possible. Communicate with supply chain team regarding material availability and shortages. Communicate with sales regarding delivery dates outside of lead times. Communicate requirements and capacities to relevant departments and colleagues, ensuring strong institutional awareness Adjust production processes according to current and emerging needs Competencies Leadership Project Management Technical Capacity Communication Proficiency Decision Making Time Management Required Education and Experience Associate's Degree or two years of college 2-5 years previous scheduling, expediting or production experience in a manufacturing environment ERP/MRP experience Experience with Value Stream Mapping, QRM, and Lean Manufacturing Ability to read and interpret schematics Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred Education and Experience Knowledge of electronic manufacturing business Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, J Lookups, v6a, advanced formulas) APICS certification a plus
