Job Description

Texas Woman's University College of Nursing is comprised of three large campuses located in the

cities of Denton, Dallas, and Houston. Our distinguished faculty are committed to excellence in

teaching, practice, service and scholarship. The incumbent will be part of the Denton campus

faculty. Denton,Texas is often characterized as a college town with two Universities within its

city limits. With enrollment of over 15,000 students, Texas Woman's University (TWU) is the

nation's largest university primarily for women.

This non-tenure track position includes didactic and clinical teaching. Teaching will primarily be

in the undergraduate program but will be expected to also teach across the curriculum as

appropriate. The preferred applicant will have demonstrated teaching experience at the

undergraduate level. We also are prioritizing individuals who desire to teach in our undergraduate

program who have psychiatric mental health or women's health experience.

Specific areas of responsibility will vary according to the faculty member's experience and the

teaching needs of the academic programs. The applicant will have an earned doctorate in nursing

(DNP or PhD) and be eligible for RN licensure in the state of Texas.

Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications. The College of Nursing is fully accredited by

the Texas Board of Nursing and the commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
