Position Summary The Department of Foundational Sciences and Humanities in the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science is seeking a faculty to teach and direct cardiovascular physiology in the cardiovascular-pulmonary-renal (CPR) course in the medical school and serve as Chair of the discipline of Physiology and Biophysics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and promoting physiological sciences in the ever-evolving education environment to meet the needs of students in a systems-based medical curriculum. They will be expected to lead and inspire the faculty to develop interactive case- and team-based learning activities, as well as interact with, and mentor, medical and graduate students. As chair, they will be responsible for the continued advancement and excellence of the educational and service activities of the discipline. A key role includes the recruitment, management, compensation, and retention of faculty in accordance with the strategic plans of the School of Medicine and the University. The applicant should provide a curriculum vita, a letter of interest, a statement of teaching philosophy and experience, and names of three individuals who can fairly evaluate the applicant's teaching and/or leadership experience.
