About the Role

What you will do



  • Take on full ownership and responsibility for the foundational architecture and support for a large, complex data and analytics platform powering scalable, high-performing FinThrive Data solutions.
  • Architect, design and implement scalable and reliable data solutions on the Data platform, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with healthcare data compliance and privacy requirements.
  • Data modeling and design: Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business requirements.
  • Data integration: Oversee the design and implementation of data integration processes and technologies.
  • Data quality management: Establish data quality standards, metrics and implement processes to improve data quality.
  • Metadata management: Develop and maintain a metadata repository to document data definitions, lineage, and usage.
  • Data security and privacy: Ensure data is protected through appropriate security measures in compliance with regulations.
  • Data governance framework development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define policies, procedures, and roles.
  • Data lifecycle management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of data, from creation to retirement.
  • Data architecture roadmap development: In collaboration with cross-functional teams, create a long-term vision for the data architecture aligning it with business objectives to drive simplification and modernization of the data architecture.
  • Data technology evaluation and selection: Research and recommend data management tools and technologies.



What you will bring



  • 5+ years of data architecture experience
  • 3+ years experience in modern cloud data architecture
  • 10+ years of overall data management and engineering experience
  • Deep understanding of compute, storage, and network considerations as well as IaaS and PaaS cloud data concepts
  • Knowledge and significant solution architecture experience with:



    • Databricks with Unity Catalog
    • Azure Data ecosystem including Data Factory, CosmosDB, SQL Server
    • Design and implement experience with high availability and disaster recovery scenarios
    • Data processing performance optimization with SQL and Spark engines



  • Experience with data de-identification and encryption solutions
  • Experience with ETL tooling
  • Deep understanding of and experience with relational and non-relational database architecture and database implementations/monitoring/maintenance
  • Strong T-SQL and stored procedure skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
