The Certified Medical Assistant with Johns Hopkins Medicine, Arlington functions as a integral memeber of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing direct patient care. The CMA administers medications and immunizations, obtains vital signs, maintains an inventory of appropriate supplies, ensures safe and efficient patient flow, tracks high-risk referrals and lab tests, facilitates safe transitions of care, organizes the practice environment to assure patient safety and quality health outcomes, and contributes to HEDIS and designated quality measures. The individual displays responsible behaviors, communicates effectively wiith others, and functions at the highest level based on scope of practice.

Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday

Qualifications:




  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred
  • Completion of CMA certification with the credentials of RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CCMA or CMAA required prior to hire
  • Valid BLS CPR certification.
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of CMA experience


Salary Range: Minimum $18.00 per hour - Maximum $28.99 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
