Manassas, VA MUST: The histotech must have the following: 4+years of experience as a Histotech Preparing reagents Evaluating control slides Performing Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Sectioning paraffin blocks Experience in a gastro practice preferred ASCP Certification is preferred or must have Bachelor's Degree in Science DUTIES: The Duties of the Histotech include but are not limited to the following: Embed tissue specimens Section paraffin blocks Stain and coverslip slides Perform staining procedures Prepare reagents and evaluates control slides Performs Immunohistochemistry (IHC) testing Perform various duties for histologic preparations Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
