We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Landscape Architect and Sustainability Manager to lead our landscape initiatives across large, dispersed portfolios. This role combines expertise in landscape architecture with a strong focus on sustainability, resource management, and client relations.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of sustainable landscaping strategies for diverse client portfolios Provide expert consultation on landscape design, installation, and maintenance Collaborate with Regional and Operations Managers to assess, optimize, and enhance existing landscape designs for efficiency and aesthetics Conduct comprehensive site evaluations, including site scoring, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements Develop and deliver advanced training programs on landscape management and sustainability practices for internal teams and vendors Oversee water conservation efforts and irrigation controller program management Liaise with clients to create tailored, cost-effective landscape solutions that align with their brand and sustainability goals Stay at the forefront of industry trends, innovative technologies, and best practices in sustainable landscaping Lead the development of landscape RFPs and SOWs in collaboration with Sourcing and IFM teams Manage landscape vendor relationships, including performance meetings and quality control assessments Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices Produce detailed analytical reports and compelling presentations on landscape projects and initiatives Contribute to budget planning and cost estimation for large-scale landscape projects Utilize and optimize landscape management tools and technologies for quality control and efficiency Qualifications: Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field preferred; Bachelor's degree with extensive experience will be considered Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on sustainable practices and large-scale project management Active Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) certification required; additional certifications such as LEED AP or Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) highly desirable Demonstrated expertise in plant species selection, soil science, and sustainable landscaping practices for diverse climates and environments Advanced knowledge of irrigation systems, water management, and conservation techniques Proficiency in CAD software, landscape design tools, and data analysis platforms Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams Proven track record in problem-solving and implementing innovative solutions in landscape management Preferred Qualifications: Experience with LEED certification processes and sustainable site development Knowledge of smart landscaping technologies, IoT applications, and data-driven landscape management Extensive experience in commercial or corporate landscaping environments Familiarity with GIS mapping and analysis for landscape planning Additional Requirements: Ability to travel up to 60% of the time to various client sites across the country Flexible work hours to accommodate project needs and client time zones Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle for site visits This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on large-scale sustainable landscape initiatives, working with diverse clients and cutting-edge technologies in the field of landscape architecture and environmental stewardship. |
